Sean Pertwee
Sean is best known for playing Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s unflappable butler, in Fox’s hit series GOTHAM, which ran for 100 episodes over five seasons. He was a series regular in YOU (Season 4), and starred in the British drama THE NIGHT CALLER opposite Robert Glenister. Recent TV credits include Brian Cameron in Amazon MGM/BBC Studios’ GOOD OMENS and Aaron in NCIS: TONY & ZIVA.
Other notable television credits include the long-running BBC series SILENT WITNESS, the annual Agatha Christie adaptation THE PALE HORSE (BBC) alongside Rufus Sewell and Bertie Carvel, and Sky’s TWO WEEKS TO LIVE with Maisie Williams. Sean played Detective Lestrade in CBS’s ELEMENTARY opposite Jonny Lee Miller, and has also appeared in THE MUSKETEERS, POIROT, LUTHER, and a recurring role in COLD FEET with James Nesbitt.
Sean’s film debut was in Stephen Frears’ PRICK UP YOUR EARS opposite Gary Oldman and Alfred Molina. His film credits include Paul Anderson’s SHOPPING with Jude Law; Paul W.S. Anderson’s EVENT HORIZON opposite Laurence Fishburne; cult surf drama BLUE JUICE with Ewan McGregor and Catherine Zeta-Jones; SOLDIER opposite Kurt Russell; LOVE, HONOUR AND OBEY with Jude Law and Jonny Lee Miller; Kurt Wimmer’s EQUILIBRIUM opposite Christian Bale and Sean Bean; and the lead role of Sgt. Harry G. Wells in Neil Marshall’s DOG SOLDIERS. He also starred in Declan Lowney’s ALAN PARTRIDGE with Steve Coogan and played Danny in THE DUCHESS, directed by Neil Marshall.
Additionally, Sean has lent his voice to numerous documentaries, animated films, commercials, TV series and video games. He’s perhaps most well known for voicing MASTERCHEF: THE PROFESSIONALS.
