Nigel Lindsay

Nigel was most recently seen in Guy Ritchie’s hit Paramount+ series MOBLAND and in THE CAPTURE for BBC/NBC Universal.

His extensive film and television credits include playing Barry in the BAFTA-winning cult film FOUR LIONS, directed by Chris Morris, a role that earned him a British Comedy Award nomination. Other notable screen work includes two seasons as Sir Robert Peel in ITV’s VICTORIA, as well as roles in UNFORGOTTEN, INNOCENT, SAFE (Netflix, opposite Michael C. Hall), WHITE GOLD, ALAN PARTRIDGE: ALPHA PAPA, THE TUNNEL, SPOOKS, THE LAST KINGDOM, and THE SALISBURY POISONINGS.

On stage, Nigel has appeared in over forty plays, collaborating closely with playwrights such as Harold Pinter, Tom Stoppard, Martin McDonagh, Roy Williams, Alan Ayckbourn, and Patrick Marber, and directors including Sam Mendes, John Crowley, and Bart Sher.

He received an Olivier nomination for the title role in SHREK THE MUSICAL at Drury Lane, won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Supporting Actor in BROKEN GLASS opposite Antony Sher, and was nominated for an Irish Times Theatre Award for his portrayal of Teddy in FAITH HEALER at Dublin’s Abbey Theatre.

Nigel also played Henry Lehman in Sam Mendes’ acclaimed THE LEHMAN TRILOGY at the National Theatre, starred as Nathan Detroit in two West End productions of GUYS AND DOLLS, and appeared on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning production of THE REAL THING.
