Toheeb Jimoh
Toheeb is currently shooting the lead role in the highly anticipated BBC adaptation of Caleb Azumah Nelson’s OPEN WATER. He will next be seen in both PRIMA FACIE opposite Cynthia Erivo and Chuko Esiri’s CLARISSA, which premiered at Cannes Film Festival.
Toheeb was nominated for an Emmy for his performance as Sam Obisanya in smash hit series TED LASSO (Apple+). Other credits include smash hit INDUSTRY (BBD/HBO), a leading role opposite Toni Collette in THE POWER (Amazon), the title role in Jimmy McGovern’s one-off drama ANTHONY (BBC1), and Wes Anderson’s THE FRENCH DISPATCH.
Toheeb’s theatre credits include Prince Hal to Sir Ian McKellen’s Falstaff in PLAYER KINGS (West End) directed by Rob Icke, two Ian Charleson nominated performances – Romeo in Rebecca Frecknall’s critically acclaimed ROMEO AND JULIET (Almeida) and Robert Hastie’s A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM – and NINE LESSONS AND CAROLS (Almeida).
