
Sophie Winkleman
Sophie Winkleman is best known for her extensive work in television and film. She gained widespread recognition for her iconic TV roles, including Big Suze in the cult hit Peep Show and Zoey in the global comedy success TWO AND A HALF MEN. More recently, she has starred in prominent leading roles in ITV’s SANDITON, the BBC’s STRIKE, and BELGRAVIA: THE NEXT CHAPTER. Sophie can most recently be seen in a leading role in Nicôle Lecky’s upcoming drama WILD CHERRY.
On film, Sophie appeared in THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE, SUZIE GOLD, and took the lead in Mike Figgis’s LOVE LIVE LONG. She also starred alongside Timothée Chalamet in the global box office hit WONKA, directed by Paul King.
She began acting in her teens with the National Youth Theatre and went on to perform with Cambridge University’s acclaimed Footlights. Though her focus has been screen work, her stage credits include roles in productions directed by Sir Peter Hall, Eric Idle and Thea Sharrock, among others.
