RHYS MARC JONES

Rhys Marc Jones is a Welsh-Irish filmmaker who received his MFA in writing and directing from NYU Tisch School of the Arts as a BAFTA Scholar.

He is developing two feature films: Black Church Bay – with BBC Film, following support from iFeatures UK and the Festival de Cannes Cinéfondation Résidence – and Dead Sheep’s Wool, in development with BFI Ffilm Cymru Wales and the Torino Film Lab.

His screenplay for Black Church Bay won the NYU Black Family Feature Prize and his shorts played festivals worldwide, receiving two BAFTA Cymru nominations and a BIFA longlist. In 2021, he was selected for Berlinale Talents.
