Julianne Nicholson
Julianne will next be seen in Dan Fogelman’s upcoming Hulu series PARADISE alongside James Marsden. Prior to this, she filmed the lead role in the highly anticipated series DOPE GIRLS directed by Shannon Murphy for the BBC and James Hawes’ THE AMATEUR opposite Rami Malek. Julianne is perhaps best known for her turn as Lori Ross in MARE OF EASTTOWN opposite Kate Winslet, for which Julianne won the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress. In addition to this, Julianne can be seen in WINNING TIME: RISE OF THE LAKER DYNASTY, Stephen King’s THE OUTSIDER and BROADWALK EMPIRE with Steve Buscemi, all for HBO. Further television credits include Showtime’s MASTERS OF SEX, which earned her a Critics’ Choice nomination, USA Network’s EYEWITNESS, Steven Spielberg’s paranormal drama THE OTHERS, and David E. Kelly’s ALLY MCBEAL.
Julianne’s recent film credits include DREAM SCENARIO with Nicholas Cage and JANET PLANET, written and directed by Annie Baker, both for A24. She also stars in Marilyn Monroe biopic BLONDE, WEIRD: THE AL YANKOVIC STORY opposite Daniel Radcliffe, and I, TONYA with Margot Robbie and Allison Janney. Additional feature credits include the Disney+ feature TOGO with Willem Dafoe, Scott Cooper’s BLACK MASS, John Wells’ AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, and MONOS which won the Special Jury Award at Sundance Film Festival. Her stage work includes a role she originated in Sam Shepard’s play HEARTLESS, Melissa James Gibson’s play THIS at Playwrights Horizons and Rattlestick’s production of Adam Rapp’s HALLWAY trilogy. Additionally, she is executive producing and will star in the limited series SEPARATION ANXIETY based on the best-selling book by Laura Zigman.
