Joe Cole

Joe is a BIFA-winning and BAFTA-nominated actor. He can most recently be seen leading the BBC’s NIGHTSLEEPER, in Thordur Palsson’s THE DAMNED, and he starred as Jan Gies in A SMALL LIGHT opposite Bel Powley and Liev Schreiber for Disney+.
Other recent credits include Netflix’s AGAINST THE ICE opposite Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and his turn as Harry Palmer in THE IPCRESS FILES for ITV. Prior to this, Joe starred as the leading role of Sean Wallace in the highly popular GANGS OF LONDON for Sky Atlantic and HBO. Joe won the 2018 Best Actor BIFA for his startling performance as Billy Moore in A PRAYER BEFORE DAWN and was also nominated for the 2018 Leading Actor BAFTA for his role as Frank in HANG THE DJ as part of the BLACK MIRROR series for Netflix. Other notable roles include John Shelby in BBC’s iconic PEAKY BLINDERS, PURE for Channel 4, Jeremy Saulnier’s GREEN ROOM, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE opposite Miles Teller and SECRET IN THEIR EYES opposite Julia Roberts.
He will next be seen GANGS OF LONDON’s third series, and in lead roles for feature films HE BLED NEON, directed by Drew Kirsch, THE BIRTHDAY PARTY starring Willem Dafoe and directed by Miguel Angel Jimenéz, and Duke Johnson’s THE ACTOR opposite Toby Jones and Gemma Chan.
