
Freya Mavor
Freya Mavor is a bilingual actress working across the UK, France, and the US. She has been long-listed for a CÉSAR AWARD in France, nominated for two SCOTTISH BAFTAS, and named a SCREEN INTERNATIONAL STAR OF TOMORROW.
She can most recently be seen in DALLOWAY, directed by Yann Gozlan, and French film MI AMOR. Upcoming projects include Netflix’s adaptation of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, where Freya plays the role of Jane Bennet opposite Emma Corrin and Olivia Colman.
Her English-language film credits include ABOUT JOAN, FREEGARD, MY POLICEMAN, THE SENSE OF AN ENDING (dir. Ritesh Batra), SUNSHINE ON LEITH (dir. Dexter Fletcher), and THE KEEPER (dir. Marcus H. Rosenmüller). In French cinema, she played the title role in LA DAME DANS L’AUTO AVEC DES LUNETTES ET UN FUSIL (dir. Joann Sfar), starred in CÉZANNE ET MOI (dir. Danièle Thompson), and appeared in the box-office hit L’EMPEREUR DE PARIS opposite Vincent Cassel.
On television, Freya first rose to prominence with a leading role in the iconic series SKINS. She went on to appear in period dramas THE WHITE QUEEN (BBC) and NEW WORLDS (C4), as well as HBO’s VIRTUOSO, created by Alan Ball. Other screen credits include THE ABC MURDERS (BBC/Amazon), HBO/BBC’s INDUSTRY and MARIE ANTOINETTE.
On stage, Freya most recently played Anne Boleyn in THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL at CHICHESTER FESTIVAL THEATRE, directed by Lucy Bailey. Her theatre work also includes GOOD CANARY, directed by John Malkovich, and BOYS at the ARCOLA THEATRE.
