Connor Swindells is a versatile British actor known for his work across critically acclaimed television and film. He recently wrapped THE ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM IS DOWN, directed by Palme d’Or-winner Ruben Östlund, and THE DREAMLANDS for the BBC, written by BAFTA-winner Kayleigh Llewellyn.
He is widely recognized for his standout roles as Adam Groff in Netflix’s global hit SEX EDUCATION and as David Stirling in SAS: ROGUE HEROES (BBC/FX), alongside Dominic West and Jack O’Connell. Most recently, he played DS Ed McCusker in THE BOMBING OF PAN AM 103 (BBC One / Netflix).
Connor starred opposite Will Ferrell in the Oscar-winning BARBIE (dir. Greta Gerwig), and appeared in Netflix’s SCOOP (dir. Philip Martin) and WILLIAM TELL (dir. Nick Hamm), which premiered at TIFF.
Originally from Sussex, Connor trained as a boxer before an injury led him to acting. He made his debut opposite Gerard Butler and Peter Mullan in THE VANISHING (dir. Kristoffer Nyholm), followed by a leading role in VS. (BBC Films), which premiered at the London Film Festival and earned him a BIFA longlist nomination and a Screen International Star of Tomorrow nod.
Other notable credits include EMMA (dir. Autumn de Wilde) opposite Anya Taylor-Joy and the BBC thriller VIGIL with Suranne Jones.
