Alan Cumming
Alan is a Tony and Olivier award-winning theatre actor and a multiple Golden Globe, Emmy and SAG award nominated screen actor. He is also an Independent Spirit award-winning producer and National Board of Review winning director. Arguably, Alan’s most notable theatrical role was THE MASTER OF CEREMONIES in CABARET for which he won the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics’ Circle, NY Press, Theatre World and the New York Public Advocate’s awards. Other notable theatre credits include THE THREEPENNY OPERA opposite Cyndi Lauper, Noel Coward’s DESIGN FOR LIVING, Off-Broadway in Jean Genet’s ELLE (which he also adapted), THE SEAGULL, opposite Dianne Wiest, in John Tiffany’s radical & highly acclaimed reimagining of MACBETH in which he plays all the roles and, most recently, in Beckett’s ENDGAME alongside Daniel Radcliffe. Alan’s film career has spanned such studio franchises as X-MEN, SPY KIDS and GOLDENEYE alongside stellar independent films such as ROMY & MICHELLE’S HIGH SCHOOL REUNION, CIRCLE OF FRIENDS and ANY DAY NOW. Alan recently starred in INSTINCT where he played Dylan Reinhart, the first gay protagonist in any US network show. Prior to that, he starred as ELI GOLD in seven seasons of the CBS smash hit THE GOOD WIFE, for which he has received multiple Golden Globe, Emmy, SAG, Critic’s Circle and Satellite Awards nominations. Alan was most recently seen starring in SCHMIGADOON for Apple.
