SAFIA OAKLEY-GREEN

Safia won the 2022 BIFA for Best Breakthrough Performance and the 2024 BAFTA Scotland Award for Actress in Film for her role in the independent feature OUT OF DARKNESS, where she played the leading role of BEYAH – produced by Oliver Kassman (SAINT MAUD). The film was released to rave reviews and impressive box-office numbers. Safia can currently be seen in Ronan Day-Lewis’ ANEMONE opposite Daniel Day-Lewis. Upcoming credits include Julia Jackman’s 100 NIGHTS OF HERO alongside Nicholas Galitzine and Emma Corrin, Leo Reich’s TV series IT GETS WORSE for A24 and feature film STATE OF US starring Samuel Bottomley and Callum Scott Howells. Safia trained at The Television Workshop Nottingham, and she can also be seen in EXTRAORDINARY for Disney+ and SHERWOOD alongside David Morrissey for the BBC. Other credits include Paramount Plus’ THE BURNING GIRLS alongside Samantha Morton and THE LAZARUS PROJECT S2 for Sky. Safia recently recorded SAINT JOAN OF THE ANTHROPOCENE for BBC Studios Audio. 

On stage, Safia recently had her West End debut as Lucy in Alan Ayckbourn’s WOMAN IN MIND, opposite Sheridan Smith and Louise Brealey. Safia can most recently be seen in Amazon’s feature THE BLUFF, where she plays a lead role opposite Priyanka Chopra and Karl Urban.
